Alice Peterson BA (Hons), MSc, UKCP accredited, offers one-to-one, face-to-face counselling on Tuesday afternoons, 2.30 – 8.30 pm, and Wednesday mornings, 8 am – 2 pm, here at GNC.
Alice Peterson is a person-centred psychotherapist and counsellor. Her belief is that the client often doesn’t need solutions or advice, but someone to listen, care, be empathic and validate their feelings. In her experience, this enables growth, a deeper insight into oneself, and finding a way forward.
Alice offers an initial 15-minute online session (zoom), free of charge, to hear your expectations of therapy, and to see if you feel she is the right fit for you. She believes in the power of the relationship, and how important it is to find the right person to accompany you in the challenges you face.
The areas Alice can help you with are:
- Trauma
- Grief and loss
- Suicidal thoughts
- Loneliness
- Family relationships
- Divorce and separation
- Narcissistic abuse
- Anxiety and depression
- Chronic pain
- Disability
Alice provides short term therapy (6-12 sessions) to explore one particular issue, or longer-term work where the opportunity for more profound exploration is possible.
Alice is an accredited member of UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) which means she has an extensive training behind her, at the Metanoia Institute in West London, where she gained a Clinical Diploma in Person-Centred Psychotherapy, and an MSc in Contemporary Person-Centred Psychotherapy.
