This is a small friendly group of singers, (SATB), and is suitable for choral singers who wish to improve their musical understanding and their ability to sing from the written music. This leads to more satisfaction and confidence and even joy (!) for the choral singer. We aim at a good vocal sound, we sing rounds and some short SATB pieces. We are not working towards a performance and the pieces sung are varied in character and period while being predominantly classical. As it is a small group 14 or so, there are ample opportunities for individuals to ask questions and to suggest pieces to be sung.
The group meets in the upper hall at the Grove centre on Thursday from 4.00 – 5.30pm. The term begins on 8th October and lasts for 8 weeks. Half term is on 29th October.
